Cabinet AZ Ophtalmologie is led by Doctor Hana Abouzeid and is made up of a varied team of doctors, qualified orthoptists, qualified optometrists and medical professionals.

A renowned surgeon, Doctor Abouzeid founded the AZ Ophtalmologie practice in order to offer the best possible care to improve or preserve the sight of her patients.
Sandy Marques
QUALIFIED OPTOMETRIST
Languages spoken: French, Portuguese, English, German.
Sandy obtained her Federal Diploma of Swiss Optometrist (Bachelor of Science FHNW in Optometry), from the Swiss School of Optometry in Olten, Canton of Solothurn, in 2008. Sandy has worked in several optical stores in Geneva, including as a store manager optometrist, before joining the AZ Ophtalmologie team in 2020. Sandy participates each year in continuing education for optometrists, local and national.
As an optometrist, Sandy screens and detects eye disease, performs eye exams for prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses, and performs simple and complex contact lens fittings. Sandy can also perform additional examinations (visual field, OCT, eye pressure measurement), the interpretation of which will be carried out under medical supervision.
Since 2009, Sandy has been appointed as an expert for the federal end-of-learning exams for the Federal Certificate of Optician Capacity.
Adélaïde Wavreille
QUALIFIED ORTHOPTIST

Adélaïde obtained her orthoptist certification from the University of Lille in 2010, France, as well as her American certification from the American Orthoptic Council, USA. She worked in Belgium and for many years in the United States, as well as in the Canton of Zurich, before joining the AZ Ophtalmologie team in 2022.
As an orthoptist, Adélaïde detects, assesses, rehabilitates and explores vision and eye alignment disorders from children to the elderly (strabismus, amblyopia, paralysis).
Adélaïde performs an orthoptic assessment, following which she develops a care plan with the patient, under medical supervision. Adelaide can also perform pre-consultation procedures (vision examination) or additional examinations (visual field, OCT) always on request, and under medical supervision.
Adelaide takes part in an international orthoptic congress every year.
Jessica obtained her orthoptist diploma from the Ecole Supérieure d’Orthoptic de Lausanne, at the Jules Gonin Ophthalmic Hospital, in 2017. She worked in French-speaking Switzerland in several practices specializing in the management of orthoptic disorders, before to join the AZ Ophtalmologie team in 2018.
As an orthoptist, Jessica detects, evaluates, rehabilitates and explores vision and eye alignment disorders from children to the elderly (strabismus, amblyopia, paralysis). Jessica performs an orthoptic assessment, following which she develops a care plan with the patient, under medical supervision.
Her practice has focused on the visual monitoring of children, and more specifically on children’s learning disabilities, vestibular disorders and neurovisual functional assessments.
Jessica makes it a point of honor to train continuously, and participates in several specialized orthoptic congresses each year.
In 2015, Valentin obtained a Master’s in Health Biology with a specialization in Vision Sciences at the University of Paris Sud.
After graduating, he began his career as an optometrist and worked for 3 years at the Clinique Montchoisi in Lausanne. He then joined the Swiss Eye center when it opened in 2018 before joining the AZ Ophtalmologie team in 2022.
Valentin is an experienced optometrist who takes care of our patients, particularly in the context of additional examinations (Visual Field, OCT ) . Valentin specialized in vision and sport by following training as well as several data conferences by different actors in this field.

Mélodie
RECEPTION MANAGER
Mélodie obtained her BTS in Optician Lunetier from the Higher Institute of Opticians in Lyon in 2008. She joined AZ Ophtalmologie in 2021.
